Edit 13 January 2011
editIn copy-editing I have Wikified: compacted text, removed any weasel words, loaded terms, fan-speak, blogese and unsupported claims that existed. I have added citation, time and clarification requests for unsupported claims, a not-notable tag, and have restructured the article for a better read.
In cleaning, certain “facts” and dates might have become misaligned – this shows how confused the article was in the first place - if editors with knowledge of the subject need to correct any such, then go-ahead please.
If any new information is added, or the previously unsubstantiated reverted, do this with adequate linked evidence to corroborate assertions. Any future edits that display Wikipedia:COI or non-Wikipedia:Verifiability and are added from a non-Wikipedia:Neutral point of view will be swiftly removed.
By cleaning-up the article, it becomes even clearer, to me at least, that it is not notable and should be deleted. Reason: he was a local and regional team player of no apparent significance among a myriad of team players, and has no discernable national or international significance.
