removed prod

I removed the prod because I feel this can be a valid topic for an article. WWhile it is admittedly a bit light on the sources, I feel that sources are likely available (although I can't look at this time), and it can be turned into a decent article. Why is it a valid article? What historical signficance does it provide aside from being a famous cliffhanger? There's already information regarding the cultural impact of the event over in the Dallas (TV series) article, and the cliffhanger and List of cliffhanger endings articles do a better job of summarizing the overall impact of the cliffhanger. This article would be better suited as an episode article vs. an "event" episode. See Who Shot Mr. Burns? as an example. -- TRTX ^{T / C} 21:50, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

"I hate J.R."

There was a song of this name played quite often by Terry Wogan on BBC Radio 2 during the series' run (I think at that time it was the most popular breakfast show in the UK. partly due to Wogan). I have no references, but remember it-- and IIRC it solled quite well. I wonder if this is worth adding. The show was very popular in the UK. SimonTrew (talk) 19:35, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Shouldn't this read different?

I was wondering if '"Who Shot J.R.?" now sits third on the list, beaten... ' shouldn't be instead '"Who Done It?" now sits third on the list, beaten '. Wentu (talk) 07:23, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Additional information

During the Who Shot J.R. campaign, a major US TV program (I do not remember which, which is why I cannot add the information yet; I want to say The Tonight Show as that sticks in my mind; one of the Dallas cast members being interviewed by Johnny Carson) aired what was basically a gag reel showing different takes of the "big reveal" showing who pulled the trigger - each one featuring a major cast members (to keep the mystery going). Mary Crosby was one of them, and the last face revealed, as a joke, was that of J.R. himself, who then looks very confused. I don't recall if this aired before or after the reveal happened, but if it can be verified in terms of where it aired (I haven't been able to find out if it's on YouTube, and I do not own any DVD releases so don't know if it might be included on one of those), but it's a piece of information worth adding if we can find more detail. The variant endings to the "Who Shot Mr. Burns" mystery on The Simpsons I believe was a riff on this. 68.146.70.124 (talk) 22:56, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
