This article survived an AfD debate on the basis that although the article is nothing more than a plot summary, the storyline is notable. In order to avoid a future deletion, it is strongly recommended that (1) the article be rewritten from an out-of-universe perspective, (2) the storyline's importance should be described and sourced from reliable secondary sources, and (3) the plot summary be cut down to a reasonable level. I have removed this from the list of suspects of who shot Phil ....
"Wellard - was told by Phil to "shoo" on at least two occasions in the fortnight leading up to the shooting. Perhaps Wellard misheard him and took it that he meant "shoot". Or he may just have an aversion to being ordered around." GunGagdinMoan08:44, 18 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

There appear to be some 'quotes' in the article which have been embellished--, i.e. not there in the source given. Even the source is embellished, called 'a spokesman' when the BBC news story merely calls them 'an EastEnders source'. Basically none of the material in quotes was actually quoted, it was reported; some of it by a spokeswoman and the bit about "even Phil doesn't know who shot him" by the "source". Looking it without the quotation marks, it added nothing much to the previous sentence so I've pared it down.ZarhanFastfire (talk) 17:45, 14 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
