the article states that west moor used to have a high school. as i understand, it was a middle school - i never went there, but i remember 3 middle schools closing to accommodate the two tier system (Killingworth, West Moor and Shiremoor). am i right here? Scott w 22:20, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The George Stephenson Grammar School used to be in West Moor. It was built in the late 50's and was certainly operational until at least the early 70's, when I moved away. I heard it had been converted to some other type of school. It used to be on the corner (almost) of the road leading to the Four Lane Ends.Ginsbergg (talk) 16:09, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
