Clean Up the Article
edit"Mary Richards throws her hat in the air at the end of The Mary Tyler Moore Show theme as she did in the opening credits of that show and the hat stays it the air and she is frozen and people see it happening."
That part dosn't make much sense, it would be nice to clean that up, because it makes no sense, please fix it up, I cannot myself.

- Actually I thought that was Barbara Streisand again, since they did a cutaway of her earlier in the episode. Maybe Streisand as Mary? Wl219 09:23, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Choomba Woomba merge
editJarex (on whether Choomba Woomba should be merged or not.) I believe that it should remian it's own article. My account is new, but I have experience reading Wikipedia. —This unsigned comment was added by Jarex (talk • contribs) .
Merge. A one-shot joke from one episode doesn't need another page. Alanhwiki 04:40, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Agreed. Merge. --Evildevil 22:52, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
Futurama Ripoff?
editOn what grounds can someone say this episode is a ripoff, or even really, pardody of Fry and the Slurm Factory?
Aside from both having parodied Charlie and the Chocolate Factory I don't see any similarities that warrant the description. Col.clawhammer 02:57, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, it goes a bit further. The way in which Peter finds the winning scroll is identical to the way Fry finds the winning bottle cap. (They both accidently drink the item and start choking on it. The Kinslayer 11:02, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
Clawhammer you moron, the Futurama episode came first.
I'm not sure, exactly, where it is you think I stated that the Family Guy episode came first. But thank you kindly for your fact checking. As you neither signed nor dated your comment, I'm not sure how long ago you posted it, but I hope you enjoyed jerking off with self-satisfaction after posting it. Congratulations. --Col.clawhammer 16:50, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
It's not Fair! There was time now!
editIs the cutaway seen with the lonely brain cell who breaks his glasses a cultural reference? I'm strongly inclnied to believe this is a direct parody of a twilight zone episode, but I can't remember which.
- Yes, it's a reference to the Twilight Zone episode Time Enough at Last. RPM 03:04, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
TV Theme Songs
editAll of the songs that Peter plays are TV theme songs. Though the movie was more popular, "9 to 5" was, in fact, made into a TV show.
I added a note about the TV themes that Peter plays. I cannot identify all of the pieces that he plays, though, but I'm positive that they're all from TV. Can anyone list the others off? I noted Dallas, the X-files, & Incredible Hulk. (I don't own the DVDs, but I might guess that this info could be found on a commentary?)RPM 03:00, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
I think the last song played at the competition by Peter is I don't like Mondays, isn't it? -22:41, 25 January 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.226.143.157 (talk)
It's the theme from the Mary Tyler Moore Show, the last piece that Peter plays in the episode (where he sits on the piano stool the wrong way round, then Lois puts him the right way round). Swaddon1903 (talk) 19:46, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Sheet-music Goof
editI'd like to know why the "sheet music goof" is a goof. In an earlier shot, before Lois leaves the room (the shot is more-or-less Stewie's view from the lounge room to the piano room) shows that there is already some sheet music on the piano, which the kid is playing. Makes sense. As Lois leaves the room, she says that the kid is "good enough to tackle a Beethoven's Sonata. Let me grab the sheet music." When she returns, she is indeed holding sheet music, and the original sheet music is still there on the piano. I don't see the problem with that. No sheet music vanished, and none mysteriously appeared without explanation. 59.167.142.74 18:59, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, that's what I think too. So I've just deleted that goof... 23:09, 1 August 2007 (CEST) ;)
Fair use rationale for Image:FGWastedTalent1.jpg
editImage:FGWastedTalent1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Piano goof?
editWhen peter starts the competition, Lois is shown having to place Peter on the stool, then nudge him slightly so that he finds the correct pitch. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Lois pushes Peter to the left (so the pitch should go down), yet the pitch goes up? Lucothefish (talk) 13:22, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
- No, it's correct; the key is lowered by a whole step (as opposed to a half-step) after the move.67.171.38.246 (talk) 03:29, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
First Drunken Piano Piece?
editWhen Peter first plays the piano drunkenly, what piece is he playing? Thank you. -July 28, 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.100.254.2 (talk) 01:34, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
It's the theme from Dallas. Swaddon1903 (talk) 20:44, 13 March 2010 (UTC)
