The statement that "the massacre ... quelled the violence" is a contradiction in terms. The massacre itself was violence, intended to put an end to the poorly-armed black resistance. The Afro-Cubans attacked the Marines only once, at El Cuero, but were repulsed without casualties to either side (Clark).Fconaway (talk) 06:43, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

this rebellion started in Cuba by negros and reminds me of the war of 1812 because happened a century after, except it happened in Canada and the Great Lakes region, and also in Harbours of the thirteen colonies. 124.217.115.66 (talk) 09:11, 26 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
