Wakanohō Toshinori → Soslan Gagloev – When he moved to the United States, he went by his birth name. [1][2][3][4][5] Joeykai (talk) 00:03, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose; he is best known as a sumo wrestler and most notable for his sumo career. Dekimasuよ! 01:08, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose; echoing Dekimasu above, this is how a number of other former sumo wrestlers who have gone on to other things but did not achieve greater notoriety have been treated. Even his first several google hits are about his sumo career. If he becomes a well-known member of a pro American football team, that would be definitive criteria for changing his article title. I also checked and his Russian article is also still Wakanoho, because that is likely what he is still most famous for in Russia.~ ~ ~ ~ (talk) 22:06, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
- Weak Support he has an English-languge name now, so we can choose to have an English title (even though it is a transliterated Russian one, it is used in English for an English population) -- 67.70.35.44 (talk) 23:45, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
- The name used as the current title has always been used in English-language sources as well–looks like there are already at least 20 of these used as references in the article. I don't think either option can be called an "English name." Dekimasuよ! 07:17, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose as per Dekimasu.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 17:09, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
