How notable should it be? I can see it from satellite :D Im sure u mean academically, it is mentioned in many articles about the topology of Saudi Arabia today (I have linked one).
The valley can be noticed from a far distance from satellite (you can see google maps satellite view between medina and brydah) its 600km long and is quite wide and looks like a river. you can notice like its running under the sand dunes then emerging on the other side. —Preceding unsigned comment added by YousefS (talk • contribs) 15:36, 18 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
The above may be true, but has no relationship at all to the Wikipedia concept of notability. The article in its present form gives no citations at all to establish notability. JamesBWatson (talk) 19:44, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
the last link i added a while ago talks very briefly about the river, and states that "There is little pattern to these remains of ancient riverbeds" then mentions "Wadi ar Rummah" first, please note the slight difference in spelling. i hope this gives some secondary reference to the subject, otherwise, i think i still can find other references around to mention this.YousefS (talk) 00:18, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
The short answer is, yes, it is certainly notable, and I was surprised on first coming here that there is so little information about it in WP. This is historically one of the main trade routes across Arabia, one of the reasons Medina grew up where it did. Before the climate of Arabia dried up so thoroughly, it was one of the major rivers of the Middle East, perhaps one of the four rivers of Eden mentioned in Genesis. I agree 100% that the article needs references, and a lot more fleshing out. Elphion (talk) 03:49, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
