Merging the Saudi belts
editAs the new Crown Jewel championships are less championship belts that are actively defended (indeed, the physical belts themselves won't even leave Riyadh), I think creating article pages for them is incredibly premature. We don't have a standalone article for the WWE World Cup or the Greatest Royal Rumble championship. The content for these articles would be better served in a table in this article. - the belts will still change hands & also via history, plus inaguraces we're still granted which we're Liv Morgan & Cody Rhodes.
- The women's belt white & the men's belt black therefore theirs no use to merge pages especially due to them being separate titles with separate designs & historys. 2600:1004:B0B9:5356:0:36:9852:601 (talk) 14:54, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- There’s definitely no need to have these articles, especially including a grid to include the number of days someone is champion. We already know that it’s not a championship that gets defended. If Cody or Liv are not world champions next year, they won’t even get to defend the Crown Jewel belts. So listing the number of days is irrelevant. Just merge this into the Crown Jewel article.OldSkool01 (talk) 18:12, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have to watch the event. however, I prefer to merge into WWE in Saudi Arabia. Create a section for titles, which also includes Strowman Grand Rumble belt. I dont know if the Crown Jewel titles are gonna be used daily or once a year or maybe, forgotten like the Grand Rumble belt. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 21:09, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- it should be like the royal rumble or king of the ring. codys not gonna defend this title unless hes champion in 12 months and if anything its not really "defending". i dont see it different to the rr/kotrMuur (talk) 20:03, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- As I said, I think the proper article is WWE in Saudi Arabia. we can include other titles and tournaments related to Saudi events, like the Greatest Rumble, the Crown Jewel titles or WWE World Cup.--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 00:32, 7 November 2024 (UTC)

- The Greatest Royal Rumble and the World Cup were a one time thing not a yearly match / tournament. It would be different if they were yearly. Do we know if the Crown Jewel Championships are going to be a yearly thing at Crown Jewel or at all Saudi Arabia events. I'm all for merging the articles into this year's Crown Jewel article. I mean the titles are mentioned in the article already. If this belts becomes a yearly thing, then the articles can be moved back into their own individual articles. Mr. C.C.Hey yo!I didn't do it! 22:56, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- triple h said it will be yearly at crown jewel. but the rumble is also yearly.Muur (talk) 00:16, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- It's already been confirmed that these will be yearly, but only at Crown Jewel (hence the names) and it will only be between whoever the reigning Raw and SmackDown world champions are at the time of the event. --JDC808 ♫ 02:03, 8 November 2024 (UTC)

- Merge to either Crown Jewel or the WWE in Saudi Arabia articles for now (probably the former in case we end up with a Crown Jewel being held outside of SA); we can always come back in a couple of years and unmerge if the titles start being significant. OZOO (t) (c) 16:30, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- Merge to Crown Jewel. This is not a challenge title. It is not defended. There is not ongoing reign that needs it stats tracked by a daily counter. This is an annual prize like the King and Queen of the Ring, and carries forward no more than they do. All we need is a list of winners on the event page. The chart in this article is false in content and formatting. oknazevad (talk) 00:39, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Merge It doesn’t really matter to me if you merge it to the Crown Jewel page or the WWE in Saudi page, or both. But they need to be merged. These seperate articles for these belts are completely unnecessary.OldSkool01 (talk) 01:02, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Merge to WWE Crown Jewel. I've been thinking about this the last few days before making any edits to the separate articles. These are "Crown Jewel" championships and will only be awarded at Crown Jewel, not any other Saudi event, so I don't see why we should merge these to WWE in Saudi Arabia (though a mention of these there would be valid in the History section and how they're currently listed under Championships and accomplishments). I also had the thought we just merge the men's and women's together into one article, and perhaps in the future we may need to if the info gets too excessive, but merging to this Crown Jewel article is the route we should go. --JDC808 ♫ 02:03, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Merge to Crown Jewel. It's not needed a separate page then title title is defended once per year at Crown Jewel event. --Miki1234568 (talk) 12:58, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Merge: since i seem to have forgotten to technically say so, merge via the reasons i gave above.Muur (talk) 04:46, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
Reasoning as to why both championship articles should stay.
editThe Saudi belts due to them being separate history's for separate genders.
The belts will still change hands separately & also via history, plus inagurace's we're still granted which we're separately Liv Morgan & Cody Rhodes via genders as well.
The women's belt white & the men's belt black therefore theirs no use to merge pages especially due to them being separate titles with separate designs & history's. 2600:1004:B0B9:5356:0:36:9852:601 (talk) 14:57, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- The separate designs of the belt photo's will still be uploaded on each article separately via gender as well. 2600:1004:B0B9:5356:0:36:9852:601 (talk) 15:00, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- It's different if you want to add Championships & accomplishments to the page & have the titles merged to the page via that. 2600:1004:B0B9:5356:0:36:9852:601 (talk) 15:05, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
- That is false. These titles will not be challenged for. This year's winners have no guarantee that they'll even be in next year's match.
- And belts are not championships and utterly meaningless. 00:40, 8 November 2024 (UTC) oknazevad (talk) 00:40, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
Pages could be merged if their added Via Championships & accomplishments (sorry)
editPages could be merged if it's added Via Championships & accomplishments. 2600:1004:B0B9:5356:0:36:9852:601 (talk) 15:28, 3 November 2024 (UTC)
