Radio personality 1967 to present in Ohio and Florida.

Bob Ladd began his radio carreer in Fall of 1965 as an engineer for WLEC AM/FM at Sandusky, Ohio. The station untilized engineers who spun records and played commercials for announcers and DJ's in a special broadcast booth.

In 1967 Bob moved to WTTF AM/FM at Tiffin Ohio where he became an afternoon drive air personality. In 1968 he moved to WAWR "Aware Radio" Toledo, Ohio(now WRQN)as Program Director and air personality taking the station from Beautifull Music to Top Forty. He is best known in Toledo as the Father of Progressive Rock in the Toledo area as well as the first to conduct a daily talk call-in show dealing with personal relationships. As the Progressive music format became popular Bob moved the evening programing to Progressive rock eventually changing his name to " The Wizzard " and hosting Toledo's first Album Rock programs night's on WAWR.

In 1971 after short stints at WTTO and WOHO in Toledo,Ohio and WKNR, Detroit Bob Ladd moved to WLRO Cleveland,Ohio doing mornings with the late Bill Wilkins. The personalities of the two jelled well and both were known for comic phone calls and silly promotions during the morning show. The morning show ended when Wilkins left for WKYC AM, Cleveland and Ladd for WGAR-AM,Cleveland during the oldies format.

In 1973 Bob built WNRR-FM " 92.1 The Hits" near Sandusky,Ohio programing a Top Forty format that eventually became number one in the area. He created the Morning Crew show and hosting it for 28 years doing news, jocking and occasionally sports play by play. Bob Ladd had the longest running mornin show in the area. Bob laso conducted a daily callin Relationship program during which he dispensed advice about relationships.

In 2001 he left WNRR for WODX Marco Island, Florida where he became the morning air personality. In 2002 he moved to sister station WCNZ AM at Naples, Florida to become Manager and morning talk show host doing news and call-ins. In 2003 he left WCNZ and bought WBGY FM at Naples.

In 2005 he returned and took over as Manager of Starboard Medias cluster of WMYR, Fort Myers, and WCNZ and WVOI Naples where he ramains as of this writing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.34.36.54 (talk) 01:32, 31 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
