A note about SR 542:

08-1934-01 lists "Capital Landing Road from intersection of By-pass road to north city limits, 0.16 mile". 06-1932-01 page 6 lists Route 542 inside Williamsburg as .835 (or maybe .635) miles. The distance along Waller Street and Capitol Landing Road from Francis Street to Bypass Road is .60 miles. Page Street (current US 60) from Francis Street to Capitol Landing Road is .56 miles. Either figure may be off by a bit due to the size of the intersections at the two ends of Page Street. Despite the numbers not quite adding up, it's pretty clear that SR 31 used the US 60 bypass. --NE2 21:44, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
