  • ... that in 1958, Virginia Ali and her husband Ben Ali founded Ben's Chili Bowl, a landmark Washington, D.C. restaurant where Martin Luther King Jr., Jesse Jackson, and Stokely Carmichael would often eat? Source: “I can still recall the excitement and eager anticipation when Ben and I first envisioned our optimistic new venture. It was born on a bright and sunny Aug. 22, 1958.”
“ Martin Luther King Jr. visited us often to share his dream over a Chili Half Smoke and cup of coffee. I remember when Jesse Jackson and Stokely Carmichael would sit with him, and the three of them would dream together of the beautiful, more integrated society that we all envisioned while still living in a segregated nation. ”

Early Life Additions

edit

The article could use more information on her "Early life". The section seems disproportionate to her "Career" section within the page. This new information could provide readers with a much more thorough background on an important figure within the D.C. area.
