The New York Times obituary says very little about her son, recalling her actual work. Now, did they run the obit because her son is RdN, and this is the spin they took on it? or did they feel she as a professional was notable enough? I am not prepared to answer the question of whether this is the case, and whether the obit hints at self notability.
