The previous version of this article contained the statement "He is credited with the first description of the mushroom Cystoderma amianthinum". But this is wrong, Cystoderma amianthinum was first described by Giovanni Antonio Scopoli under the name Agaricus amianthinus in 1772. What Fayod did was to define the new genus Cystoderma, which gives the mushroom its modern name.Strobilomyces (talk) 17:25, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
