• Delete. Unless the championship claims in the article can be verified. [[User:David Johnson|David Johnson [T|C]]] 17:28, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)
• David, can I direct you to this and ask you to reconsider your vote?Dr Zen 02:56, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

• The policy asks us to give reasons for our votes, Mikkalai. So far as I can see, you don't bother. Personally, I think that editors who show such a disregard for the community should be themselves disregarded but sadly I won't be counting the votes here.Dr Zen 02:56, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
• Delete. As far as I know, competition with footbags isn't very serious, and that the only real notable champions would be world record holders. Rhymeless | (Methyl Remiss) 18:40, 11 Dec 2004 (UTC)

• Keep. It seems he is three-time world champion and the undisputed world number one in freestyle. This is clearly a minority sport but any sport that has survived long enough to have 25 world championships is worthy of note.Dr Zen 02:56, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)
• Extreme keep. Thank you Dr Zen for doing the research that the nominator didn't. Quote from the article: [1] "Currently ranked number 1 in the world (in freestyle) is Czech sensation Vasek Klouda. Also known as 'The Golden Child', Klouda at just 17 years old, has been competing for roughly 4 years - and is a 3 time world champion. Footbag is his full-time pursuit." Seems more than notable enough. Someone should give you one of those imaginary barn stars! Damn they're cool. *gush* —RaD Man (talk) 09:10, 16 Dec 2004 (UTC)
• Keep for the reasons above. Asbestos | Talk 10:11, 16 Dec 2004 (UTC)
• Keep - I agree with Dr Zen (I hadn't heard of footbag until I came to the Klouda article at random - that's one of the great virtues of Wikipedia!) Adambisset 00:17, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
• Keep. This individual appears to be a hackey sack world champion and is just as notable as any other sports champion. GRider\talk 17:04, 17 Dec 2004 (UTC)
• Keep http://www.footbag.org is the non profit website for information on footbag, tournament results, and other general information. Vasek is most definately the champ and undisputed at that. 25 annual world championships, countless regional events, and over a thousand clubs in a hundred countries. The sports for real, it's just underground and not at all popular to the American audience. competition with footbags isn't very serious, and that the only real notable champions would be world record holders. Just because you don't know, doesn't mean it isn't very serious. Kids are playing 6 hours a day training to win these events, and the real world champions are the ones who win the world championship of footbag competition. He's actually footbag freestyle world champion, to distinguish it from footbag net world champions, and team freestyle champions. Hackysack is a brand name / register trademark for a brand of toys.
• Keep - Footbag is an international sport governed by the 501(c)(3) corporation, International Footbag Players' Association, Inc.. Václav ("Vašek" for short) Klouda has competed at IFPA-sanctioned tournaments (including the World Championships) in San Francisco, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Prague, and many other international competitions. This is a serious sport and deserves recognition -- and Václav is the most celebrated current competitor. According to IFPA, there are currently 601 footbag clubs in 47 countries, with regional and national tournaments in almost every part of the world.
