Melbourne Services
editIsn't the recently announced new services on 17th August, 2009 a delay on the Melbourne to Los Angeles Service. It was orginally scheduled to start on 15th September, 2009. Can anyone confirm this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by M i k e y 86 (talk • contribs) 09:27, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, just look at their past media releases. There are several mentions of Melbourne services starting in September, three times a week. I don't think this is particularly notable. -- Rob.au (talk) 10:10, 17 August 2009 (UTC)
So it's now not starting till 1 December? Anyone know why it was delayed? It beacause they started Phuket services

Whats the situation
editHi. I am under the impression that V Australia is now defunct and that the aircraft are used for an international arm in Virgin Australia. From what i have seen the actual airline hasnt been renamed. If this is the case this article should be named V Australia and there sould be a section about international travel in Virgin Australia. Please can someone throw some light on this? --JetBlast (talk) 02:30, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
I am under the same impression. All aircraft are operated by Virgin Australia now...all registered to the same name on the CASA register...therefore they should be under the same article Schulzr (talk) 09:15, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
- I agree on that part. Their website states that the 777-300ER is now in the Virgin Australia fleet. →εϻαdιν ΤαΙk Ͼδητrιβμτιoης 11:25, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- I concur; V Australia and Pacific Blue have been "operating under the Virgin Australia banner" since 7 December, quite a while after the renaming of Virgin Blue to Virgin Australia. I agree with JetBlast's comment about mentioning international travel in Virgin Australia and, to add a thought of mine, the history of all these airlines should be clearly documented in the article for the readers to mitigate confusion. --Sp33dyphil ©hatontributions 22:30, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- It is probably appropriate to change the title back to V Australia to detail the history of the airline. The current title appears to be made up and probably not suitable for an article of the defunct airline. MilborneOne (talk) 23:46, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- The whole V Australia article is gone now. I am not sure whats going on with the Virgin Australia thing but its all gone messy. I am currently on holiday for a month so i cant do much about it. Maybe someone could assist please? --JetBlast (talk) 01:12, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- I Have removed references to "Virgin Australia Long Haul International" and replaced with V Australia. The article should read as if it's about an airline that once existed and no longer does (which is technically true). The logo at the top should be reverted back to the V australia logo and article title changed back to just plain "V australia". Schulzr (talk) 16:00, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

- Moved the article back to V Australia and put back the original logo, still might need some work to put stuff in the past tense. MilborneOne (talk) 16:15, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
