1. The lead of the article is too short. It is supposed to be a summary of the article. It needs some historical information about the route added to it.
2. Can you explain why Parowan is "historic"?
3. Do not use "colorful" before "Vermillion Cliffs".
4. Do not use "then" in describing progression of route.
5. Citation needed for "The route turns to the east here, while continuing south leads to the rest of Cedar Breaks National Monument and State Route 148 (the Cedar Breaks Scenic Byway)."
6. "it descends through thick aspen forests that turn brilliant gold and red in the autumn", I don't think it is nessecary to describe how the aspen forests change colors.
7. Citation needed for "SR-143 continues its descent, heading northeast alongside Panguitch Creek as it enters Garfield County and exits Dixie National Forest. The route ends in the historic city of Panguitch, 23 miles (37 km) from Bryce Canyon National Park and just east of the Paunsaugunt Plateau."
8. Can you also explain how Panguitch is "historic"?
9. In the route description, can you mention what routes it begins and ends at?
10. Citation needed for "More recently, around the time of European settlement, the area was inhabited by the Southern Paiute people who used much of the Markagunt Plateau for hunting and gathering."
11. Citation needed for "Eventually, this road extended south to Cedar Breaks. In 1919, S. A. Halterman took the first automobile to Cedar Breaks via Parowan Canyon. With improvements to the road completed by 1921, he was able to take visitors on weekly trips to the area."
12. Citation needed for "The route was extended in 1953 to reach from U.S. Route 91 (former State Route 1) in Parowan (Main Street) to the north boundary of Cedar Breaks National Monument, increasing its length to over 17 miles (27 km)."
13. "and as a Forest Service Byway as Utah's Patchwork Parkway in 2000", change second "as" to "called".
14. The commonscat template should be included in a new external links section and not in the references section.
