This Isn't a "TV series"
editFTR, this isn't a "TV series" under the definition we use in WP:NCTV – i.e. this show has no "continuing story elements" like a scripted comedy or drama TV series would, so it's not a "TV series".
Pinging Magitroopa here, because I am hoping Magitroopa has actually seen this show. The question is – Does this have "game show" elements? If so, it should be moved to Unleashed (game show). If it's more of a "talk show" (seems unlikely), then it should be moved to Unleashed (talk show).
If none of these apply, then it should simply be moved to Unleashed (TV program).
Waiting to see if anyone weighs in here before I initiate a page move... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 04:57, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- I haven't seen this myself, but this might help you decide which it is. Amaury • 21:34, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- Nickelodeon has more clips than just that on their channel, if that's not enough. Amaury • 21:39, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- OK, I think this is most akin to a TV program like America's Funniest Home Videos – while there is a "competition" element, I don't think this can really be described as a "game show". (It almost seems more like a variety show.) Based on this, I think Unleashed (TV program) is the correct destination. I will plan to move it to that. But I will wait a few days to see if there are any objections, or suggested alternatives, in the meantime. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 21:43, 15 December 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah, apologies for not getting to this before. I know you both are more well-versed in a lot more than I am, especially with naming conventions, so I'm fine with whatever title change is necessary. I had previously moved it from 2020 reality TV series to TV series as I don't believe television show articles usually contain both the year + genre (at least it was better than just the Nickelodeon title it was previously at...). I was also going off of the disambiguation page, with there being no show with that same title prior.
- Unfortunately, I have yet to watch any Nickelodeon stuff lately. My DVR is filled with a bunch of Nick stuff including Casagrandes, Loud House, Danger Force, and literally every single episode of Ollie's Pack since I never got to watching that yet. I even had to make some room on the DVR and deleted the recent episodes of Top Elf and Unleashed, both of which I have yet to watch. Hoping with a bunch of my other-network shows I've been watching having their season finales or going into a winter hiatus, as well as this current semester of school wrapping up, I'll be able to do some catch up...
- That being said, I did watch the sneak peek of Unleashed that aired October 12, but no full episode as of yet. From seeing that as well as the articles about the show and seeing info about people that were on the show, I'd say this is basically a talent competition show rather than a game show, in a similar vein to America's Got Talent.. actually, it basically seems to be that show except focused more towards kids and focusing only on animal acts. There's actually plenty of AGT alumni on Unleashed, including panelist Preacher Lawson and acts such as Christian and Scooby (who was actually the act shown in the October 12 sneak peek), Sara & Hero, and The Savitsky Cats. - It looks like talent shows are categorized separately than game shows (which surprises me a little). But, as with America's Funniest Home Videos, the "competition" element to Unleashed looks to be almost incidental. I do think "TV program" is the best call in this case. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 05:37, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
- @IJBall: This can probably be moved now, as there have been no objections raised, but I will leave it to you, since I don't know if you were just planning on moving it without leaving a redirect at the "(TV series)" target, something I of course can't do. :) Amaury • 07:22, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed – will move this soon. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 20:38, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
- Done – moved. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 07:44, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
Logo Changes
editI know the logo was from the website but I'm thinking of changing it back because the title name is too bright. Does anyone else agrees? kpgamingz (rant me) 14:49, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
