Cast vs. Characters
editThe current organization, in which the actor or actress is named first and most prominently and the name of the character portrayed is less salient, seems to me to be inconvenient for those who want to learn about the show. I suggest focussing on the characters rather than who plays them. That will make it easier to learn about the show. Indeed, even if the reader looks up the article in order to find out about the actor or actress playing a certain character, he or she will first need to find the character. Also, the person playing a character sometimes changes over time. That is easier to handle if the paragraph is about the character.Bill (talk) 03:08, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
Archaic and possibly offensive terms
editThe term mulatto in reference to Rosalee is generally thought of as pejorative in modern usage unless used in a historical context when the term was more widely used and accepted. (One etymology of the word is that it comes from the Spanish word for 'mule' which may be why it is considered as such.) I understand that this show is a period piece so usage of that term may be appropriate in some instances but I am not certain that it's usage as a general description in this instance is. The terms multiracial or biracial are preferred but they don't necessarily convey a mixture of "black" and "white" but perhaps her racial make up would be evident from the context of the show/article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.96.105.123 (talk) 00:48, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
