Does the Cowdray Arms really qualify as being in Turners Hill? It's quite some distance away... Robmonster 16:32, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
I agree, its nowhere near Turners Hill, its nearer to Balcombe. Also the entry regarding the cross roads is spot on.62.49.215.243 16:57, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
NPOV dispute - Development
editThe disputed section is as follows:- "The area to the north of the cross-roads represents the major residential development in recent years, and now Clock Field is to be built on, which will concrete more of the countryside, and ruin (destroy) the Historic part of North Street, by ripping out hedgerows, and parts of the so-called conservation area all thanks to the Local Land Owner the Paddockhurst Estate and to the Parish Council, which seem to care more about the destruction of Turners Hill than anything else, so congratulations to them both. The older parts of the village, and in particular Lion Lane, have retained a character and charm of their own. Many buildings date from the 17th and 18th centuries and a number have been Listed by the Department of the Environment. The village centre has been designated as a conservation area."
I do no believe that the text referring to the local land owner and parish councils attitude reflects non-neutral point of view. Another editor keeps adding this back in via reversions. Lets sort it out on the Talk Page as opposed to constant article revertions. Please read up on the NPOV artcle linked form the main article page. Robmonster 10:51, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
I thought David Batty (Battie) deserved a mention, and the school. Plus I had to change soccer to football.
It would seem by reading this, that the "editor" is biased.
