Braun Strowman/Universal title

edit

I know it’s gonna need to be sourced eventually to be on here, but Braun Strowman has won the Universal, Intercontinental, & Raw Tag belts. If the Universal title counts for the Grand Slam (we know WWE says it does), shouldn’t it also count for the Triple Crown? Thus Braun would the 31st person to win it and Drew would be 32nd — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.50.55.142 (talk) 03:11, 7 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

The WWE needs to confirm it for the Triple Crown, and currently they have not. (User:Jacked14) 09:07 7 April 2020 (UTC)
They confirmed the new titles were part of the Grand Slam in 2016, why would it not be the same here? You can’t win a Grand Slam with having a Triple Crown first anyway 71.50.196.52 (talk) 04:39, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
It is time for someone to talk to WWE or someone close to them about this. We have 2 other people after Strowman becoming Grand Slam Champions and are not recognized as Triple Crown Champions. The Universal Title (by itself) should be considered a part of it. I know that this title and the WWE Championship are represented by one single belt at the moment. It is time for Strowman, Owens and Balor to be considered Triple Crown Champions now. 2600:4040:9DDB:4100:D851:EC67:EA2:22BA (talk) 17:20, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Bret Hart

edit

Is it worth mentioning that he's the only wrestler to have held both the WWF and WCW triple crown? And where should this be placed in the article? Romomusicfan (talk) 17:43, 22 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Only? No. First? Yes. 2601:281:D480:2FE4:ED36:D1A0:DAF2:7799 (talk) 12:25, 8 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Knockouts Triple Crown

edit

I do believe this should be sufficient to show that Impact has now established a Knockouts Triple Crown with Jordynne Grace as the first winner, having held the Knockouts, Knockouts Tag Team, and now the (intergender) Digital Media Championships. Vjmlhds (talk) 14:32, 24 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Shouldn't the Digital Media Championship be considered a part of the Grand Slam for the men? 2600:4040:9DDB:4100:5909:2208:98A0:49B5 (talk) 04:43, 13 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
It depends on what TNA decides. 108.21.200.89 (talk) 22:42, 16 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Chad Gable

edit

On Monday night raw 8/1/22, WWE put that he is a tag team triple crown champion when he was on his way to the ring with the info/name graphic. should this be considered as cannon and make an Individual tag team Triple crown as well as the normal way to get a tag-team triple crown? and if so we would also have to add Jason Jordan as he has held all eligible titles for a tag team triple crown. AEW Triple Crown

edit

Tony Khan said in the post All Out media scrum (during his solo portion at the end) that Kenny Omega is a triple crown champion for holding the Men’s World, World Tag Team, and World Trios titles BadGirlRyleigh (talk) 07:35, 5 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Omega was again referred to as a Triple Crown winner at All Out by Justin Roberts, as well as being the only one so far BadGirlRyleigh (talk) 01:17, 5 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not sure how that link from a different subject got added to mine BadGirlRyleigh (talk) 07:36, 5 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Excalibur also mentioned it on commentary during the 8 February episode of Dynamite (can you tell who's a few months behind on their DVR? :D ) Anonymous Contributor 012786 (talk) 17:18, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Apparently references within the promotion's actual continuity aren't good enough for (Personal attack removed) Wikipedia. Whatever. Anonymous Contributor 012786 (talk) 22:05, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I’m glad to see Kenny was finally added, but the section should be similar to ROH’s where it has World and then Secondary titles including TNT and International as that’s clearly how Tony Khan is handling Triple Crowns for either company. World plus any two of the others. 98.55.1.77 (talk) 22:39, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

If it is so clear, then it must have reliable sources. Eddie Kingston being a Triple Crown champion is more prominent over Kenny Omega. BinaryBrainBug (talk) 11:46, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's a different meaning if "triple crown". Eddie's triple crown is about holding three titles at once, whereas Kenny's is about a career achievement of holding a certain set of titles across the years. oknazevad (talk) 13:14, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Exactly. Not to mention Eddie isn’t a Triple Crown champion, he’s explicitly the Continental Crown Champion. 2601:281:D480:2FE4:5439:BE8:E5DB:C27E (talk) 05:40, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
Cannot find a reliable source for Omega. Besides, the lead section needs some clarification, as it states "specifically, a world championship, another singles championship, and a tag team championship.", which ROH and now AEW doesn't seem to follow. BinaryBrainBug (talk) 21:53, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
This has not been defined. The only definite path to the Triple Crown is World/Tag/Trios. With ROH they are just being consistent with the previous rules of the company’s triple crown/grand slam BadGirlRyleigh (talk) 20:15, 5 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

NWA Triple Crown

edit

Kenzie Paige is apparently the first NWA Triple Crown winner (female or otherwise) for winning the Women’s World, Women’s TV, and Women’s Tag titles. This has been reflected on their website and on instagram, so she and by default the (modern) NWA should be added. 98.55.1.77 (talk) 22:36, 21 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Add Cody Rhodes

edit

Cody is now a Triple Crown Champion since he won the WWE Championship at WM40. He already held the IC Championship and has held the Raw/SmackDown Tag Titles & the World Tag Team Championship in the past 2601:806:C300:3140:48C2:BC90:CCF2:5A5 (talk) 02:58, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

edit

For the table containing the WWE Triple Crown winners, it appears that both the WWF/World Tag Team and WWE/Raw Tag Team title links go to the same page for the new (2024) World Tag Team Titles. Be reminded that the old WWF/WWE World Tag Team titles (1971-2010) do not share the same lineage with the new World Tag Team titles. The new World Tag Team titles have a lineage that traces back to the original WWE Tag Team titles that came out in 2002. That history is tied to those titles. The links should be separate. Clicking on the WWF/World Tag Team titles link in the table should go here: https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/World_Tag_Team_Championship_(WWE,_1971–2010) while clicking on the WWE/Raw Tag Team titles link in the table should go here: https://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/World_Tag_Team_Championship_(WWE) 108.21.200.89 (talk) 15:27, 16 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
