Alternate names
editThe Tripadi also has other alternate names like Trivadi and it may be worth mentioning them, because there are also other forms like Duvadi where the ending "-adi" may mean "feet" as in Tamil/Dravidian. See here
Trivadi or Tripadi rules
editCan someone knowledgeable in Kannada explain how the moras are counted. I find that there are only 16+16+11 moras for line 5 and 6. It does not tally with the rules given as 20+17+13. It appears that "long" and "short" may be counted in a different way in Kannada. Can somebody show how lines 5 and 6 have 20+17+13 moras? Thanks --Aadal (talk) 00:29, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
