Addition of cyanogenic information
edit@Plantsurfer: I understand my sentence about this plant's cyanogenic properties was barebones, but that's almost all the reference gives us to work with. From the source i had provided:
"Triglochin maritima is important in livestock management because it is quite toxic: it is a cyanide producer."
From that, we can see it seems to be toxic enough that livestock owners would want to be aware of its presence. So i believe the reverted sentence has a place in the article. The source that followed it is currently already used in the article, in the Flora of North America link.
- OK, but it should be dealt with in the body of the article and not in the lead. If there is concern about it in the agricultural community in US, you can probably also get a reliable source from USDA.Plantsurfer 17:40, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
- Good call. I have found a very detailed bulletin on the investigations carried out with this plant. I'll add some sentences to the article as soon as i have time. YuriNikolai (talk) 14:48, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
