George Martin Beating

edit

The article mentions Trayvon Martin getting shot, but fails to mention he beat the holy hell out of George Zimmerman. 64.71.110.54 (talk) 01:20, 6 February 2023 (UTC) yes, this article is totally biased. it fails to mention all sorts of lies the defense presented about the girlfriend's identity. it fails to mention the other myriad crimes trayvon committed and was accused of committing. complete liberal bias, per usual from wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.222.253.54 (talk) 23:16, 10 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Don't just call it an altercation, Martin attacked Zimmerman, there are evidences of this online of the aftermath, Zimmerman couldn't have broke his own nose before gunning down his assailant. 175.143.58.222 (talk) 20:03, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Actualcpscm (talk) 20:56, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
How about your source which lists the several injuries Zimmerman faces and his first hand recollection where he describes "a life and death struggle that Martin initiated by accosting him, punching him in the face, then repeatedly bashing his head into the pavement." You can call it biased, but it's a more evidenced than what the you describe given his injuries. 82.40.81.216 (talk) 19:30, 17 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Rachel Jaentel…?

edit

No mention of the witness fraud? The entire catalyst for charges being brought was due to Benjamin Crump stating they had the phone of “Diamond Eugene” and that she’s willing to testify because she was on the phone with Trayvon.

And then due to an FOIA request by a documentarian years later turns out she wasn’t Trayvon’s girlfriend, Diamond Eugene, and no correspondence between Rachel Jaentel and Trayvon Martin could be found. The real Diamond Eugene allegedly refused to be part of the trial.

Rachel Jaentel was put on the stand by the prosecution as the star witness. You’d think that would be something worth mentioning to provide some very important context in why charges were eventually brought. 135.129.76.79 (talk) 16:41, 26 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Zimmerman's Injuries Consistent with Self-Defense

edit

Featured prominently near the lede (the first sentence in the 2nd paragraph) is: "Zimmerman was injured during the altercation with Martin." Given the disputed nature of the "altercation", it should be noted in this sentence that the injuries were to the back of Zimmerman's head, consistent with his testimony that he was lying on his back, with Martin on top of him, slamming his (Zimmerman's) head against the concrete sidewalk at the moment Martin was shot and killed by Zimmerman. Leaving off this critical detail creates the false impression that Zimmerman's injuries were only incidental, and supporting the narrative that the shooting was not justified, where it's obvious that at that specific moment, Zimmerman was in fact in fear for his life. The primary reason for the dispute on whether or not the shooting was self-defense, was Zimmerman's alleged "stalking" of Martin, which is claimed to be the provocation of the altercation itself. No one disputes the fact that Zimmerman was being assaulted at the moment of Martin's death; the only argument against self-defense was that Zimmerman was following, i.e. "stalking" Martin. Absence of this information creates a false impression regarding the circumstances of the homicide.66.25.69.185 (talk) 16:16, 3 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
