Overall: New article. No copyvios detected. Hook is interesting. Can you clarify if the QPQ completed? QPQ not applicable, first nomination. TJMSmith (talk) 04:28, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for your review, @TJMSmith. This is my first ever DYK. My understanding is that I may submit 5 before I must complete QPQ. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Oronsay (talk) 03:45, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- You are correct. I thought that was the case but wanted to confirm I wasn't mistaken. Approving now. Welcome to DYK! TJMSmith (talk) 04:28, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oronsay, the source for the hook shows that she was named High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, but not that she was the first woman. Can you add a source for the latter to the article and ping me when you've done so? Thanks! MeegsC (talk) 16:13, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- @MeegsC: Thank you for your ping. I know we may not use Wikipedia articles as references otherwise I would refer you to the List of Australian High Commissioners to Sri Lanka, showing the list of men who preceded her. I have, however, added her obituary as reference. I was concerned that your copy editing had split the statement in the body of the article so have added more, with ref, to the lead. If this is insufficient, perhaps the second hook could be used instead? It is directly referenced. Oronsay (talk) 18:03, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, Oronsay – that source will do nicely! MeegsC (talk) 18:18, 28 March 2021 (UTC)
