Did Tom Cole Sr. race?
editWhile researching, I found three articles from the mid-1930s that refer to a T.H. Cole. The initials are very similar; Tom Jr. was most likely too young, but it could be his father Tom Sr. The time frame is consistent with the family living in the UK before emigrating in 1939. I can't find much information on the father, except for that contained on Tom Jr.'s Motorsport Memorial. Does anyone have any concrete evidence either way? Articles: June 1936, October 1937 and March 1938. Cheers. DanTickner (talk) 00:46, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
Post-GA improvements
editI did the GA review, and passed the article. Subsequently Mark83, a more experienced GA reviewer, pointed out a bunch of things, mostly areas of insufficient specificity or unreferenced assertions, which should have been improved prior to passing the article. I think his suggestions are correct, so I'll atone for my sins by implementing as many of them as I can, and leaving the remainder as notes for others to work on. - @Bwoodcock: Thank you for taking those comments in the spirit I intended. In the same spirit, once you've given it another look I'll make some tweaks too and review any of your comments. It's a strong article; between us, this approach will save the adminstrative burden of the whole reassessment process.
