National caps stats
editNew Zealand Football caps and goals statistics are not accurate in the sense that they are all appearances for the All Whites including unofficial internationals against club sides and select XIs. 2 other sources I know of for finding the information are Ultimate NZ Soccer which is accurate but sometimes takes a few days to get updated with latest information, and RSSSF which is hard to navigate for all info. An example: Campbell Banks, listed by NZFootball as having 6 caps and 2 goals can bee seen at RSSSF to have played 6 matches in 2006, but only 3 were full internationals - 1 against Malaysia and 2 against Chile. The other 3 games were against Charlton, Blackburn and Sevilla which do not count as full internationals for infobox statistics purposes. This is also borne out by Jeremy Ruane's site which lists full line-ups overall stats and goals. Vicelich is listed by NZ football as having his debut against Denmark U-23, also not a full international. Infobox should show officially recognised A-Internationals only, hence Tim Brown has been reverted to show caps per reference provided which shows full lin-ups to date specified, and also aligns to the national-teams database recently added to links (more-or-less, although that too has a lag).--ClubOranjeT 10:46, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Ah, OK, I didn't know anything about that. I supposed that the NZ Football site was accurate as official site, instead. Don't worry, I understood and I apologize for this fact. --Mess (talk) 11:02, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
