Technical Classification: Submachine Gun vs Assault Rifle
editI have changed the "type" on this page from "Submachine Gun" to "Assault Rifle" based on the information in the article. The article states that the Thompson Light Rifle is a select-fire rifle utilizing an intermediate cartridge (.30 Carbine) and detachable magazines, as opposed to a an automatic carbine firing pistol cartridges. Although the concept of an Assault Rifle was ill-defined at the time of the weapons' invention, I feel it still fits the classification by modern standards. As the 1915 Federov Avtomat is officially considered an Assault Rifle on this wiki. Mr. Someguy (talk) 12:19, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
