Guillaume

Anyone know why all the Thomas toys and videos say "(Guillaume)" on them? 79.106.203.56 (talk) 08:23, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

First of all, it’s Gullane. Second, Gullane (formerly known as Britt Allcroft Productions) is the company who owned the Thomas TV series from 1984 until the early 2000s. SuperWikiBrother (talk) 16:08, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

The locomotive that Thomas the Tank Engine is based off is owned by the Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough after being purchased from British Sugar who had a factory in Peterborough. The engine was officially dedicated Thomas by the Rev Awdry himself and runs from their Wansford station upto their station at Yarwell on a regular basis. No mention of Alec Baldwin as one time narrator

edit

Seem to remember Alec Baldwin being referenced here as a series narrator before. Seems wrong that someone has removed him from the page. 166.196.75.27 (talk) 16:50, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

That's most likely because Baldwin isn't important to this article, but rather the article on the TV series instead. SuperWikiBrother (talk) 16:53, 10 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Update image to be Thomas' later revision by C. Reginald Dalby

edit

The image currently used in the infobox is of Thomas' very first illustration from the book Thomas the Tank Engine, illustrated by Clarence Reginald Dalby. The problem with this is that not only was this design disapproved by Wilbert Awdry, but it does not match any of Thomas' later appearances due to the substantial amount of changes made in later prints. I say the image should be changed to the later version from the same book. SleepDeprivedGinger (talk) 21:32, 14 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

After doing some research, the redesign that Thomas has to this day was first seen when the book was republished in 1950. It could still be considered correct since it matches with all other variants of the character, so does anyone else agree? SleepDeprivedGinger (talk) 20:24, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
