Some things

edit

Ynhockey, concerning your revert: [1]

You re added "After losing the Hermon", this is not neutral because it imply s that Hermon is Israeli. So it should be "after losing control of the Hermon"

The "regain" after "Golani Brigade in particular, grew determined to".. should at the very least be changed to "recapture" on the same basis as above.

Can you please explain why you removed the link to the article: "Syrian towns and villages depopulated in the Arab-Israeli conflict" ? That was a legitimate link from "abandoned Syrian village" to an appropriate article.

Also you re added "Israeli Hermon" which is factually inaccurate as there is no "Israeli Hermon", as this mountain is entirely within Syria and Lebanon. "Syrian Hermon" is also Hermon in the Golan Heights. Other names must be used for this. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 12:53, 29 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are basically bringing up the same arguments that I brought up in the edit summary—firstly, both positions are in the Golan so your edit that implied that the Syrian position wasn't in the Golan is incorrect; secondly, that "capture" is a neutral term while "occupy" is not. Finally, you are suggesting some changes here that are very different from your actual edit to the article (therefore, I am confused as to what your position is). Please list the changes you want to make and if they are not objectionable, I don't mind making them myself. —Ynhockey (Talk) 01:03, 30 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Ynhockey, The only thing you replied about was the "Israeli Hermon"/"Syrian Hermon" thing, that can not stay as it is inaccurate as there is no "Israeli Hermon", and you know very well that saying that its "Israeli Hermon" is not neutral. But as you now are saying that both positions are in Golan, I haven't yet figured out a good replacement to call them. I will have to think about that a bit more, and you can suggest something if you want. The other things I brought up here above you did not reply to. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 17:49, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
I did not reply to some of the arguments because, again, these are the exact same things I said in my edit summary. In other words, while I was completely opposed to your original edit, I do not disagree with all of your arguments here (i.e. your arguments here are contradictory with your edit). The current version seems acceptable, and I believe it alleviates your concerns. If you have further specific edit suggestions, please bring them here, and again, if they are not objectionable, I don't mind making the edits myself. —Ynhockey (Talk) 10:02, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Could you please explain why "occupy" is not a "neutral term"? nableezy - 03:17, 30 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

There is discussion here above about that the article contains "Israeli Hermon" which is factually incorrect since no part of Hermon is in Israel. Since clearly there are discussions above about this, then the claim used by LibiBamizrach for removing the tag based on "no discussion" is therefore incorrect. The pov problems are still not fixed, so the neutrality is disputed and the tag should stay in the article until the pov problems are fixed.--Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 14:11, 17 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

edit

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 12:17, 18 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Template Disputed has no guideline that says it should be removed before the problems are dealt with so Im adding it instead. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 15:52, 18 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Coordinates needed, battlefield today

edit

Can someone who has access to the relevant sources please add the coordinates of some of the major positions mentioned such as: the Hermon outpost itself, the Twists Position, Cliff Position etc. as its very difficult to conceptualize without them. The page should ideally describe the battlefield today. Mztourist (talk) 09:20, 20 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Israeli Leadership

edit

In the infobox only two Israeli leaders are mentioned but in the text and also in source such as Rabinovich mention Peled Jonathan Teagan (talk) 23:09, 8 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
