Revision
editGood revision, Design. But what are your sources for the following?
"It was recorded at Columbia Studios in Nashville, with local session musicians."
"It features songs by ... Johnny Cash."
"Folk Singer" (Johnny Cash/Charlie Daniels)
None of these details can be substantiated by the album itself or the album cover.
In fact the album credits "C. E. Daniels" for "Folk Singer" and doesn't mention Cash at all. I have no doubt your information is good, but from what published source does it come? --Chironomia
- I've added refs. for the various song credits: BMI.com and ASCAP.com. BMI list Daniels & Cash as the co-writers of "Folksinger" (one word). Hmmm, you're right about the Columbia Studios, Nashville details, I have a source for Johnny Cash's own March 1968 recording there, but not Ives. Sorry. --Design 12:50, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Many thanks. -- Chironomia, 10:40 a.m., 4 Jan. 07
Genre
editPhantompie changed the stub from pop to folk. I agree that pop is not quite right, but folk is certainly not right. Ideas? Chironomia 06:23, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
December 2015 article move
editThis article was retitled and moved December 18, 2015, without any consensus. A 12/21/15 RfC (closed 2/11/16) was unable to establish a consensus with the note "leave articles as they are without edit-warring, and wait for the second RFC" (Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Capital letters#RfC: Should an "a-prefixing" guideline be added to MOS:CT?). This article should have remained "The Times They Are A-Changin' (Burl Ives album)" pending a consensus. —Ojorojo (talk) 15:33, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
"probably"
editThe word "probably" sticks out like a sore thumb. We should at least flag it somehow, yes? What can we do? --2605:E000:9384:300:F954:9AA5:6A16:E30A (talk) 17:35, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
