Disparate?
editPretty sure this can't be applied to a single entity but since I haven't read the book I can't can't offer a better alternative. "Diverging" perhaps.68.178.50.46 (talk) 01:15, 23 March 2015 (UTC)
Eight voices?
editI'm a French teacher and I don't master the language of English literary criticism enough. But I think the sentence: "The story is told through the voices of eight characters" is inaccurate. It is seen through the eyes of eight characters, and told "in third person", indeed. This is not a matter of voice, but point of view. What we call "focalisation" in French. The voice is always that of the narrator. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Francois C (talk • contribs) 12:59, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
- In English it's fine to say "voices" here Jikybebna (talk) 16:52, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
