Error?
editThis site needs editing because Also NYC was the first city/season not tenth.68.222.34.200 (talk) 22:38, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind, I re-read it.68.222.34.200 (talk) 22:38, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Unlocking
editThis site and the main Real World site need to be unlocked to remain current. Other reality shows like The Hills and Survivor remain unlocked...there is no reason for you to have sole editing and editing decisions on them, especially when there are new updates for NOLA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.171.211.249 (talk • contribs)
- Have you tried making an edit request? Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 00:21, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- The articles (not "sites"), do not need to be unlocked to remain current, nor does any one editor have "sole" editorial jurisdiction over them. All you have to do is sign up for an account. It's free, takes seconds, you don't have to use your real name, and it allows the community to gauge you as an individual by your edits.
- Protecting such articles until they've finished their first-run airings is necessary because they are ripe targets for vandalism or policy violations by editors who do not understand the site's fundamental policies concerning adding material (WP:V, WP:NOR, WP:NPOV , WP:RS, WP:CS), and display little interest in learning. It's why we have article protection in the first place, and if other articles experience the same problem, then administrators who edit those articles would certainly be justified in protecting those as well. Glancing at the sourcing and writing quality in some of the articles related to The Hills, they could sure use it. Nightscream (talk) 02:57, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- Newbie making an edit but I see a lock rather than the ability to edit. ([User talk:W2wss|talk]]) —Preceding unsigned comment added by W2wss (talk • contribs) 20:19, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
- I apologize, I forgot that the lock also applies to new editors (those I don't know how long the long considers an account "new"). You can also make an edit request, as Plastikspork mentioned above. What edits would you like to make? Nightscream (talk) 04:21, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- The title should only be "New Orleans", there is no official titling calling it "Back to New Orleans". Perhaps label it "New Orleans (2010)"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.235.160.101 (talk) 02:23, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Is this being address or ignored? There's really no reason to lock this site, especially if you are going to let such inaccuracies remain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.48.161.10 (talk) 20:41, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- See my first post in this section above, made on June 14. And please make sure to sign your posts. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 00:51, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Okay, so you replied about the locking, but not about the title. The Back to New Orleans title was rumored. The only title used ever by MTV or BMP is "New Orleans". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.48.161.10 (talk) 18:57, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- I've renamed the article, and placed disambiguation notes at the top of it and the 2000 season article. For future reference, though, please sign your posts. You can do this by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of them. Thanks. Nightscream (talk)
Also needs to be renamed under the cast photo on this page. (74.96.114.47 (talk) 07:02, 31 July 2010 (UTC)). Should the article for RW/RR Challenge be renamed The Challenge? Also, how do you rename?
- Forgot to mention Reference 6 and the External Links also says back to —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.96.114.47 (talk) 07:04, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
Can you please sign your posts? I'll answer all your questions if you do.
How do you rename what? The article? :-) Nightscream (talk) 16:34, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
Ryan- a virgin?
editIt said in the episode 2 summary that he said he was a virgin, but I do not recall him saying that, when he was talking to Knight. He said eh regrets hooking up with other girls cause he didn't love them, so how does that mean he's a virgin? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arilicious (talk • contribs) 20:33, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- "Hooking up" has many meanings, of which having sex is only one. Others include simply socializing, making out, etc. It's also possible that he had outercourse instead of intercourse, in which case he'd still be a virgin. Nightscream (talk) 07:50, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Knight - University of Milwaukee
editThis is false. No such university exists in Milwaukee, but what they meant was University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which can be written as before or UWM, UW-Milwaukee, and so on, but NOT University of Milwaukee. This should be changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.151.193.58 (talk) 07:11, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- First, new messages go at the bottom, not the top, and please make sure you sign your posts. You can do this by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of them. As for Knight's alma mater, the material comes directly from MTV.com, which is cited as the source for that passage. Nightscream (talk) 07:50, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
i take offense at this
editin McKenzie's profile it says that she is " a devout, but open minded Catholic". As a Catholic i think that this description means that unless otherwise stated Catholics are not open minded. Peppermintschnapps (talk) 05:05, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- The information comes from her MTV bio, as indicated by the inline citation. Nightscream (talk) 12:26, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
Jemmye abuse incorrectly attributed to Kodi
editShe states on the show (and the MTV links currently citing her abuse history on wiki also cite) that the abuse occurred with the boy she dated prior to Kodi the basketball player. Wiki entry states twice that Kodi abused her. Since you've got the dude's full name listed and all, probably shouldn't wrongly attribute domestic abuse to the guy.
Citation: "Fresh off her encounter with Kodi, and filled to the brim with Bourbon Street's finest booze, Jemmye confides in Knight that before Kodi she was in a long-term abusive relationship." http://www.mtv.com/shows/real_world/neworleans2/episode.jhtml?episodeID=170022 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.14.207.38 (talk) 03:30, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Edit Request to add link
editThere is a band mentioned in the section for Episode 11 called Flow Tribe. The wikipedia page for Flow Tribe is an orphan, so please link the name of the band to the corresponding wikipedia page. The page has the exact same name. Thanks! Groovdiva (talk) 00:45, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
- There don't seem to be any third-party publications given as sources for that article. Mostly just links to episode video on MTV's site, the band's own website, and another Wikipedia article, which cannot be used, since that's circular sourcing. I think that article should be vetted for the appropriateness of its inclusion on Wikipedia before we start wikilinking other articles to it. Nightscream (talk) 05:06, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
