Cast members
editWe MUST add http://www.realworlddailies.com/ to the wiki page. This site had a ton of behind the scenes clips of the show and is releasing them every day apparently. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.77.103.133 (talk) 20:53, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
The page says that David is from Maryland, but I just saw a commercial in which they said he was from Pennsylvania. I would like verification on which it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GreatLiver (talk • contribs) 02:45, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Sarah Ralston's hometown is Phoenix, Arizona. This is verified through various sources (including myself having known her while growing up).
two of the cast so far are Brianna Taylor and Greg Halstead.199.80.117.25 21:47, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- What's the source on that? Nightscream 00:43, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
rwrrblog.com 199.80.117.25 14:21, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- It says that it's just speculation, and not currently verified. Nightscream 19:47, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
But Greg won the competition.199.80.117.25 21:49, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Okay. I've added that in, but I'm still curious as to how credible a site that is. What is their affiliation, if any, with TRW/RR? How do they come by their info? I sent them an email to inquire. Thanks. Nightscream 03:35, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Here is the full Real World Hollywood cast (Source):
- Kimberly Alexander
- William Gilbert
- Brianna Taylor
- Greg Halstead
- Sarah Ralston
- David Malinosky
- Joey Kovar
Joey and Greg are replaced by:
- Brittini Sherrod
- Nick Brown
Don't expect this list to be confirmed by MTV Networks until the show is ready to air in May.
I tried to add a reference without luck. Zredsox (talk) 20:01, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
In order for a footnote to show up at the bottom of a page, you have to use the reference tag <references/>. It is not known yet if the list above is the full cast, as these are people rumored and speculated to be the cast. Nightscream (talk) 05:07, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
I put them out there on this non-article page as I personally know that these are cast members and was hoping to spark further discussion that might lead to a valid source. Zredsox (talk) 18:02, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- I updated the source link (Thanks Nightscream) and cast list. Zredsox (talk) 20:01, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
I added the cast roster table and filled it out (including the replacements) on the main article page with proper citation to the updated source article. I also included a secondary reference to a youtube video of the cast at IOWEST which supports the conclusions reached.Zredsox (talk) 04:24, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Isn't Will's girlfriend Janelle the same Janelle who was on The Real World: Key West? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 651laura (talk • contribs) 01:07, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
On MTV.com it says Dave's last name is Sky. His bio page says so, and also his clothing line page. Can someone research and see? And if his last name is Sky fix the page!
Release Date
editThe Real World: Hollywood is set to be released May 21, 2008. That is the same day as Season 1, New York, was released. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 2muchskillz2008 (talk • contribs) 02:53, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually it is going to premiere April 16th, 2008. This will be officially announced during the Real World Awards Bash, and at that time we can update the article.Zredsox (talk)
Greg Gets Booted From The House
editGreg (Hollywood) who was selected out of thousand online applicants and an online vote may have possibly gotten kicked out of the house.
There are rumors that Greg may have left because he was fired from the job the castmates have. If you remember, back in Season 10, Back to New York, producers instituted a rule in which, if you got fired, you would automatically leave the house. Surprisingly, it has never happened until now.
Rumor has it, that the group are a part of a comedy improv group in Hollywood. Sort of a niche market for 7 strangers brought together, some of which probably don't want to be comedians. Anyway, Greg was supposedly not into it, and was pursuing modeling work elsewhere. He apparently was let go from the comedy troupe and was kicked of out the house.199.80.117.25 15:44, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Grammatical Error/ Usage Error
editIn the bio of David it needs to be changed to "enjoys shock humor" instead of enjoys to shock humor. it just makes more sense that way. --216.229.227.143 (talk) 20:31, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Brooklyn Season 21
edithttp://mtvpress.com/press/release/mtv_heads_to_brooklyn_new_york_as_the_real_world_begins_production_on_seaso/ --- Season 21 has been confirmed and will take place in Brooklyn, NY. Can someone add a page for this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.10.116.52 (talk) 01:26, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- Done. Nightscream (talk) 01:33, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Real Home Towns
editBeing from the Metro Detroit area, I was skeptical of Will actually being from Detroit. After some investigation, I found this article on Buddy TV. It explains where the cast members are really from. Check it out: http://www.buddytv.com/articles/the-real-world/the-real-world-hollywood-cast-16048.aspx —Preceding unsigned comment added by BlackWaterShadow (talk • contribs) 03:14, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- The article already mentions these locations. If you follow the footnotes where each city is given in the Cast table, you'll see that they each explain that vevmo.com gives those locations, in contrast to the locations given by mtv.com. Nightscream (talk) 07:00, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Brittini lives in Scottsdale, AZ not Janesville, WI, can somebody change this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sean7500 (talk • contribs) 17:59, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Updating
editThis page gets updated like 2 days after the newest episode. I think the page should be updated more quickly, beacuse what if someone couldn't see the newest episode. They'd come here and not see the episode summary. Please update as quick as you can! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.209.139.240 (talk) 04:10, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
also, the caption underneath the cast picture should be changed from "the cast of the real world hollywood" to "the original cast of the real world hollywood" ( since greg and joey got replaced) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.248.91.112 (talk) 00:17, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think anyone who watches the show is going to come here to read the episode summary as a substitute. They'd likely just go to MTV.com, where they can watch the entire episode for free, or read MTV's own Episode Summary, which is cited as a source in the article. But if you want to update it more quickly, be bold, and go for it. :-) Nightscream (talk) 22:45, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Will's New Girl
editThe article refers to Will's new girlfriend as "a girl named Janelle", and it did not cite that Janelle was on Real World: Key West. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sassysoftballa (talk • contribs) 02:29, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
- Why would it? Such information must be supported by a reliable source cited in the text. Nightscream (talk) 22:45, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
- It is in the episode 7 summary on MTV.com (Will introduces himself to Janelle from the cast of The Real World Key West.) -->http://www.mtv.com/ontv/dyn/realworld-season20/episode/episode.jhtml?episodeId=134980#bio Also episode 8 itself can be used as the source -->http://www.mtv.com/overdrive/?id=1588278&vid=238215 being we only have to connect the dots between episode 7 & 8 being it is the same girl in both and she was given an on screen title i.e. Janelle: Real World Key West Zredsox (talk) 23:28, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
What do people think about adding the appearences by other real world cast members? I think there are 3 total so far? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pwojdacz (talk • contribs) 01:36, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
- I removed the section heading just above Pwojdacz's post because I think his/her question is pretty much the same topic as the section right above it, and because my answer to both Pwojdacz's and Zredsox's questions are essentially the same: As long as the source in question is explicitly cited as a Reference in the text (just as it is with all the info currently in the article), it's cool beans. Just out of curiosity, who are the other two former RW cast members? Nightscream (talk) 02:07, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Ace from paris & Jannelle (Sp?) from key west? (the girl will is dating). Also one guy from the Challenges, one of the newbies who's name slips my mind. He was one of the people added to the shows but never been on a RW or Road Rules. Pwojdacz (talk) 04:53, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, after asking the above question, I caught up with the episodes I had missed, and saw them all in there. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 06:00, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Vevmo
editI just removed all vevmo-supported material from the article, based on the responses I received at the Reliable Sources Noticeboard, on which I asked for confirmation that vevmo was a reliable source. To my surprise, it was decided that it is not a reliable source because it has no editorial oversight, and because the administrators posting the material there are as anonymous as the users who post in the forums. I argued against this, by pointing that Vevmo posted information on cast, including their names, occupations, headshots, etc., and even correctly reported that Joey and Greg left and were replaced by Brittini and Nick, all before any of this was broadcast on MTV, but the decision was apparently final. So that's that. Nightscream (talk) 00:13, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
