Kindly remove this article from speedy deletion. I am not sure why you felt compelled to steam in in this fashion, but the article is legitimate and pertains to a very influential second generation gothic rock band. Further information will be added to this page in due course. Thank you.
- The information about the band should have already been added to the article in order to show that they are a notable band. You are new so I guess you never read WP:YFA. If you wish to improve the article you may do it from in your userspace and then re-submit the article when it meets WP:N. Do you want me to ask an admin to move the article to your userspace so you may improve it? Because at the moment the article is MOST likely to be deleted. Also if you do not know you must sign your post using the tildes, ~~~~. MS (Talk|Contributions) 21:02, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm a massive fan of the band but will cheerfully (heh) admit that their major claim to fame is holding the world title for "band that sounds most indistinguishable from the Sisters of Mercy"; don't get me wrong, in the world of goth rock that's quite a title to hold (there's plenty enough contenders), but outside of that small world that a small handful of us really, really care about, I do not consider that anybody would regard this band as anything more than a pretender. Fans, we must get over ourselves; we are nothing.31.205.148.195 (talk) 19:02, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
Copyvio
editI have removed the "Formation" section as it is a direct copyvio of their MySpace page. - NeutralHomer • Talk • 20:35, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
Thank you. I apologise if I have evaded protocols. The WP:N is totally arbitrary and for admins/ editors without a grounding in a specific musical genre articles such as mine may appear whimsical. However the band in question was VERY important in the second wave of gothic rock, and to deny this is to undermine wikipedia. I would appreciate advice on whatever steps are required to improve the article, but kindly do not delete it. ChiRed (talk) 21:29, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- There is a specific guideline for musicians WP:MUSIC. You have to prove with sources that they are as you say very important. Your word doesn't prove that they are important. I gave you a suggestion to move the page to your user spaaaaaace so you may further improve it. The page being moved to your user spaaaaaace isn't deleting it. They basically just move it so you may work on it just in case you want to re-add it to the main spaaaaaace. Also, the formation section needs to be sourced.
