• "the last volume" third.
• "considered defining for the two relevant genres" which two?
• "reviewers finding this to be a commendable" this? Do you mean "the encyclopedia" perhaps?
• "overpriced" you didn't even mention how expensive it was.
• "The scope of the work..." The scope of The Greenwood Encyclopedia of Science Fiction and Fantasy....
• "written by over a hundred different" more than.
• "expected" who was doing the "expectation"?
• "its release, already in 2005" why "already"?

Re: ""written by over a hundred different" more than." - hmmm, or maybe less than a hundred? See https://www.sfsite.com/gary/ww-themes01.htm . Maybe change to dozens?

Re: "expected" who was doing the "expectation"? - reviewers, but it seems common sense to me (not editorializing).

Re: "book is overpriced (at $349.95) and" ah, one review said it was over-priced?
