Mohammad Raed's Second Try

edit

At the end of the movie, we are told that it is August 2007 and Mohammad Raed has to repeat his Senior Year.

That would have put him back in the exam rooms some time in June 2008.

Does anyone know if he passed the National Exams this time around?

Synopsis

edit

The synopsis is too long with a count of over 1,100 words. Is there any way to reduce this count to between 400 and 700 words, per WP:FILMPLOT? The summary of the film should be a small portion of the article body. Just asking about this if the article is going to be nominated as a Good Article. Erik (talk | contribs) 13:46, 13 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've asked for help and suggestions with this at at least two Peer reviews with no response. I was told that if necessary, the concerns with the length of the synopsis and the reception section (which I also feel is a bit too long) would be dealt with at the GAN. If you have any suggestions, please, please help, because I fear I can't see the wood for the trees. Matthewedwards :  Chat  16:40, 13 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Award nominations at film festivals

edit

The lead states that the film "was nominated for awards at two film festivals." One was the Youth Jury Award at the 2007 Sheffield Doc/Fest, mentioned in the body of the article. What was the other? Neelix (talk) 03:31, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

"at the Tribeca Film Festival it was short-listed for the 2008 World Documentary Feature Competition", perhaps? BencherliteTalk 03:35, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Film vs. video

edit

This article refers to its subject as a "film" and mentions that it was "filmed", but also states that the protagonists were provided with video cameras, with which they recorded their lives. As I understand the technology, "film" and "videotape" are totally different items, recording images in entirely different manners. The distinction should be made clear. Would it be better to call this a made-for-television movie? --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 15:39, 4 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
