Laid back

edit

It's a gross generalization to describe Tezas blues as "more laid back than other styles". For one thing, it's not a single style. What single style could possibly encompass Henry Thomas, Blind Lemon Jefferson, T-Bone Walker, Lightning Hoplins, Frankie Lee Sims, Bobby Bland, Albert Collins, and King Curtis? Some of the blues from Texas was laid back, some wasn't. 172.150.249.64 20:35, 21 November 2004‎

Kenny Wayne Shepherd

edit

I removed Kenny Wayne Shepard (actually Shepherd) from the list because I haven't seen anything that associated him with 'Texas' blues, other than being a blues musician with some Texas associations. Could some references be cited before readding? SteveHopson 21:07, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Scope of the article

edit

Without any sources here, it is hard to say what the scope of this article should be. Its hard to imagine that there is a coherrent genre that includes Leadbelly and ZZ Top. Also, what about Mance Lipscomb, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, etc.? -MrFizyx 19:19, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Texas Blues ?

edit

While I Agree there is a genre of Texas Blues, I don't define it as Ledbelly. I think Stevie Ray Vaughn is the main example. Although I reflected the main article's views in the genre box I made. --SilverPwnzor 01:10, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
