Equation is wrong
editThe equation for plotting in "Ternary plots in Cartesian coordinates" is wrong.
Let alpha=beta=0 and b=0 then notice that x will be 0 for all values of a and c=1-a which is wrong since these points should lie in the line that forms the left side of the triangle.
Also, for a=1 the x coordinate is undefined.

Extension to 4 and n-case
editHow is this concept extended in the case of 4 and more variables?--82.137.15.31 (talk) 00:00, 1 May 2017 (UTC)
Use when a+b+c != 1
editI would like to point out that this type of plot is useful to show the results of a three variable system even when the sum of the components are not equal. Granted to do it it is color based and you need a color scale but that is not unheard of on plots of this type. B787 300 (talk)
- I think this article adequately states that. Balon Greyjoy (talk) 15:48, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
Removing lead pictures
editThe pictures in the lead take up too much space; I'm reducing it down to one picture. Balon Greyjoy (talk) 15:50, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
