Update of this page
editI did a pretty extensive update of this page as it was a bit confusing. It co-mingled information about Terminal Servers, RAS boxes and Thin Clients together. They are really 3 separate things so I moved what was not related to Terminal Servers to more appropriate articles like Remote Access Service. And, I removed the referenced to Thin Clients as they are not related to, or used with, Terminal Servers. Some people have confused the 2 in the past but they are not the same thing. Thin Clients do not have serial ports and therefore are not used in an application with a Terminal Server. Mcdjl (talk) 19:36, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
Update2
editIt is confusing as it refers to technology that was defunct long ago (DecNET/LAT) which I worked with 20 years ago. Things have moved on a bit in the Terminal server area. Also the terminology has been muddied by Microsoft Terminal Services, so i'm glad that's been split out. I'll have a look and try to improve it around the edges.
