Tell Rifaat is under Rojava administration. Do not remove the category
editTell Rifaat is under Rojava administration since February 2016. Even if from your personal political POV you might not like this fact, please do not damage Wikipedia by removing the statement of this fact, the category or anything else related to this fact from the article. Thanks. -- 2A1ZA (talk) 12:57, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- The town is under MILITARY OCCUPATION by PYD forces, this does not make it part of any thing other than Aleppo Governorate, and Syria. It has been under the control of Free Syrian Army for 4 years, did we have it under a category of FSA? Amr ibn Kulthoumعمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 01:22, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
- Not every place YPG occupy is automatically a Rojava. This random addition of the category "Rojava" is what damage Wikipedia as it is a manifestation of Kurdish Nationalists dreams. Wake up, Syria is still at war, what you control today might be taken away tomorrow. The only fact here is that this city (that have no Kurds) is under the military occupation of Kurdish militias not that it is under the administration of Rojava as if it was legally attached to that de-facto entity. It doesnt matter if Kurdish nationalists consider it part of their Rojava, no legitimate government recognize this and definitely not the people of that city.--Attar-Aram syria (talk) 08:11, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
Faking the Amnesty reference content
editKonli17, your edit here is faking/twisting the content if the Amnesty story. I quote:
“The Kurds started gaining control of some villages in the northern part of Aleppo Countryside at the beginning of February and they were advancing towards Tel Rifaat. As they approached, Russian and Syrian forces targeted medical facilities. As a result, the civilians injured from the indiscriminate shelling had to be transferred to the Syrian/Turkish border because the hospitals were no longer operational.”
This has become a typical approach in your edits, which is really concerning. An encyclopedia is about established facts backed by strong references. You seem to lack this concept. Amr ibn Kulthoumعمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 18:21, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- If I understand you correctly, you want to highlight the proximity in time of the Russian bombing and the SDF advance? Konli17 (talk) 18:33, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Amr? Konli17 (talk) 09:41, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, both happened at the same time, that's clear from the reference, isn't it? Amr ibn Kulthoumعمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 15:46, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- Not exactly the same time. Konli17 (talk) 15:55, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- P17, why do you say my version puts the Russian bombing in 2015? That's not the way I read it. Konli17 (talk) 20:42, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

- The bombing happened days before YPG militias moved in, after the bombing burned everything was burned to ground. Amr ibn Kulthoumعمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 03:32, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
- Like I said, not at the same time. Konli17 (talk) 10:43, 6 November 2020 (UTC)
