This page needs information on the editions of the game. Is there more than one card set, or has every Taboo game sold with the same cards? Does anyone know this and other info?

I know that there have been at least two editions, as I recently played the game and it featured words that did not exist in 1989 (largely high tech stuff). Poking around online, there seems to be a 10th anniversary edition available, but I'm not sure enough to make the update. unless 23:35, 1 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps WordBan.com can be listed as an example for a third party refill website? Joelwiggles80 (talk) 04:09, 7 July 2009 (UTC)JoelReply

The Wordban link does not belong, per item 5 of wikipedia policy on self promotion.[1]. Wordban.com is not important to understanding Taboo, and does not meet notability guidelines.[2] wanderingstan (talk) 10:09, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Joke edit removed

edit

The page said that "Katie Wake was awarded the Taboo "Life-time achievement award in 2010 and has been named the "Queen of Taboo: five years running". Google shows nothing for "Katie Wake" and "Taboo" except copies of this article. This seems to be a private joke that was added to the page. 99.162.56.26 (talk) 14:43, 23 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Edition Contradiction

edit

The article says that "The second edition of the game, produced in 1994, has a round, pink squeaker, or hooter, instead of a buzzer, as do the 1993 and 1990 editions." Given the game came out in 1989, if there were new editions in 1990 and 1993, the 1994 edition would have to be at least the 4th edition. Kek926 (talk) 18:37, 17 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

"Unknown rule"

edit

I just rolled back "One unknown rule about Taboo is that when the other team is giving you leaniency and being nice about points in the end of they are loosing they can reclaim upto five points. This is a Taboo game changer so always be nice in the beginning!" but I didn't realize that the rollback link wouldn't give me a chance to leave a comment. I rolled this back because an "unknown rule" doesn't make sense - either this rule is in the rulebook, or it's not a rule. Maybe the editor meant "house rule"? - Brian Kendig (talk) 16:55, 20 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
