It hasn't closed...
editLondon UK (talk · contribs) reverted an edit recently made by Rapido (talk · contribs) that stated TV Ark was no more. I reiterate, THEY HAVE NOT CLOSED; they are just on hiatus until the site's Christmas relaunch. So don't add anything about the site closing. Similarly, The TV Room is also planning a relaunch. -- M (speak/spoken) 19:20, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Real Media is an excellent codec and has served TV Ark since its conception in 1998. With the prevalence of high-speed broadband and new video technologies, Real Media is now somewhat restrictive. The word 'restrictive' has been the drive behind TV Ark Interactive. It's a way to bring TV Ark and its vast content to more restricted desktop environments that Real Media is not able to be easily accessed.
