Nosairi?
editAre these the same as the "Nosairi" mountains listed on the Shaizar page? I can imagine that "Nosairi" could be an archaic transliteration of "ansariyah". Adam Bishop (talk) 21:41, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, they are one and the same. Nusayri and Ansariyah both refer to the Alawis who used to live there. Yazan (talk) 21:52, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
- Fixed! Yazan (talk) 21:58, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
- Great, thanks! Adam Bishop (talk) 02:31, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- As for transliteration, it is the other way around. FunkMonk (talk) 12:24, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

Map
editI created this zoomed in map of the area: [1] better then a map of the entire country. --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 12:11, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Title
editSince it is officially named "Coastal Mountain Range", that is what the title should be. Perhaps "Syrian Coastal Mountain Range". FunkMonk (talk) 13:45, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed, particularly given that "Nusayri" has as of late come to be a sectarian slur used against Alawis. Syrian Coastal Mountain Range would work fine, Coastal Mountain Range (Syria) might be another option. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 00:22, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
Jabal Bahra
editIs the Arabic spelling جبل بحراء or جبل بهراء , I have not found a source to confirm either way?--الدبوني (talk) 19:45, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
