The Match
editThe North and South of England had almost completely separate racing programs at the time, not really surprising when it took three weeks to walk a horse from Newmarket to York. There was a strong rivalry, which regularly flared up in the correspondence pages of the Sporting Magazine. The first of the Symmetry-Sir Harry matches must have been a huge event, and I would think that there are more sources out there. Tigerboy1966 23:07, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
