I would like to propose a discussion of the use of the term 'luftwaffe' (also 'the luftwaffe' or 'Swiss luftwaffe'). I believe it is a bit confusing to use this term, given that the term 'Swiss Air Force' is officially used on the website of the Swiss Armed Forces. I would propose to use 'Swiss Air Force' throughout the article, unless it is related to the German term (and then it would have to be 'Die Luftwaffe'), or to the historic term, which however used to be "Flieger- und Fliegerabwehrtruppen". I have changed the term to "Air Force" wherever it was not specifically quoting the German name. "Luftwaffe" in English refers to the German Air Force (especially in WW II). Besides, Switzerland is a multilingual country; German ought not to be privileged. 84.227.230.70 (talk) 20:59, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
