Removal of content

Supplication versus Petition
editWe need to consider differentiating between prayer of supplication and prayer of petition. The meanings of the words overlap considerably, and in various situations have more specific and distinct meanings - for instance "petition" has a particular common usage in respect of appeals to governments for changes in law.
However asking God for the grace to resist temptation, and asking him for a new bike are not very similar at all. Oliver Low (talk) 15:57, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
