- I need to sleep now. If someone has a hankering to reformat the gallery as per Wikipedia:Alternative text for images segment on galleries, be my guest, otherwise I can do it sometime tomorrow. Casliber (talk · contribs) 14:13, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Courtship picture
editIs there any available photo of their courtship display? It seems like the most unusual aspect of this species. Brutannica (talk) 20:10, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- I wish! Would be great to get one I agree...Casliber (talk · contribs) 22:38, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
Mature Non-breeding male
editA picture of a mature non-breeding male seems like a glaring omission in this article. I have such a picture here File:Malurus cyaneus non-breeding male - Knocklofty.jpg but not quite sure where it should go. JJ Harrison (talk) 11:16, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
- I think swapping it for the male vocalising in the gallery - that image doesn't show us anything new. Casliber (talk · contribs) 11:28, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
File:Malurus cyaneus PM.jpg to appear as POTD soon
editHello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Malurus cyaneus PM.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on June 28, 2012. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2012-06-28. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks! —howcheng {chat} 16:30, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

Photoshopped Image
editThe picture of the male and female pair has been heavily edited. I believe it is a composite of at least two different pictures and the male's features have been heavily exaggerated with increased brightness, contrast and saturation:

I know virtually all digital images are post-produced to some degree, but composites and selective exaggeration seems out of place in a reference context. 2.98.207.195 (talk) 11:33, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
