Definition of county seat
editThroughout the United States, "county seat" is the community in which county government is based. Pennsylvania's no different:
- §1111.5 of the Pennsylvania Code — people can reside in county seats
- §61.1 of the Pennsylvania Code — newspapers can be published in county seats
Neither of these will be true of courthouses. Nyttend (talk) 00:56, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
