Verification Needed
editThis page needs citations and verification; please do not remove the tag until this has been done. Simply asserting that the facts are true does not count as verification. Once citations have been added, feel free to remove the tag. -- Metromoxie 16:23, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
However, many of the facts are verified in the links: for example, Best Fan Writer for Hugo Awards shows that Steven Silver was indeed nominated for said award. Surely, these do not need additional citation?PaulLev 05:38, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
I've also added two references, and fixed one link.PaulLev 06:33, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
I added two more references, put in a specific citations needed tag for the Jeopardy win, and removed the overall Citations needed tag for entire article, as per Metromoxie's 24 May 2006 comment above.PaulLev 04:32, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
And I've removed the Autobio and Vanity concerns tag: I am not Steven Silver. I know of him (but do not really know him personally), I'm former President of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (1998-2001), and nothing in this article strikes me as an auto-biography or vanity problem. I do not think it needs to be re-written. (I would like to see a citation for the Jeopardy win, and have added a tag in that place.)PaulLev 04:48, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Works for me. Thanx. — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 11:32, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- There is an article I wrote about my Jeopardy experience on-line at [1]. Shsilver 16:53, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Just to dot the i's and cross the t's - is there any article online, not of your authorship, which describes your Jeopardy experience? Or, does Jeopardy perhaps have a listing of all of their winners? Thanks! PaulLev 23:22, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- There's an old listserv post that refers to it, as does the Fan Gallery and an article by the woman who defeated me. Shsilver 00:20, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- That should do it. I added two of the references, and removed the request for citations.PaulLev 03:34, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Changed rating from Start to B class: Verifying citations and Info box provided. Article could use a photo.PaulLev 03:50, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
